thinkin' about it thursday. {on friday}

conversation overheard between cy and maddax during playtime yesterday:

cy:  "hello mr. bad guy! how you doin' today?"
maddax:  (silence)
cy:  "mr. baaaaaadddddd guy!!!  heeeellllloooooooo?!?!?!?  how are you doin'?"
maddax:  (pause)  "let's play somethin' else, cy."

we like to call it a sensitive personality.

{because he's trying to be nice to the bad guy instead of beating him up.  did anyone get that?}

"cows smell ucky, mommy!"

oh, i know, cy.  

one of the fun {yes, fun} things we got to do while my sister was visiting was tour the dairy.  the first part of the tour was where and how and what the cows get fed.  it smelled.  very bad.  not very good.  cy ran to the van got in the very back and was glued to the seat.  he would not move.  even using my powerful powers of persuasion, i could not get him to budge.  he would just keep saying, "cows smell ucky, mommy!"  it was funny at the time and it's funny now.........well, to me anyway.  

luckily, our next stop on the tour was the seeing the brand spankin' new baby calves and then going inside to the milking operation and finishing with ice cream!!  

thankfully, cy has had milk with his cereal all week, so he was not traumatized.  phew!  

and, yes, he has his swimming suit on.  he was so excited to go to the pond after the dairy that he put on his suit very first thing when he woke up.  he loves swimming.

it was the 4th of july.

and there was family.

and fireworks.
