Here is a picture of Cy and his beloved "bwankie".

There is hardly a time you will find him without this precious piece of material.  It's soft and silky and very comforting.  He loves to twist his fingers in the blankie, even when he's sleeping!

Here is Maddax with said blankie.  Notice the look in his eyes......they are taunting eyes, are they not?

Ahhhhhhhh, the reason for the taunting.  This is the scene just seconds before the previous 'taunting' pic.  Maddax is thinking, "Hmmmmm this will be fun, obviously this kid likes this blankie, what will happen if I take it away?  Will I get chased?"

Here is Cy 'trying' to forcefully take blankie back.  That's right, FIGHT for what is yours!!

This is Cy - unsuccessful.  And crying.  And Maddax in the background wondering why he's NOT getting chased!!  Maddax is probably thinking, "C'mon, wimp let's go!"

What do mommy and daddy need to do at this point?  We need to get out the "You-are-never-gonna-grow-up-and-do-that" list (remember that list?) and take boxing off.  Anyone know where we can enroll in boxing lessons?  :)

(I just need to add that we LOVE Maddax!  He is seriously the sweetest kid, ever!!  We also love his momma-Ashley-she is also the sweetest and I am very thankful for her sense of humor and her willingness to let me try to express humor.)

Cy is a Scavenger.  

This is very important information to you if there is a possibility that he will ever be at your house.  The kid goes through every inch of this house, everyday.  He loves opening drawers and finding treasures.  Lately, when he finds something round, he will give it a good once over - probably asking himself, "I wonder if this will roll?" and then he brings it to the kitchen floor and rolls it.  And leaves it.  So, when you come to our house, you will see my kitchen floor like this.  (ok, we may have staged this just a little, so not exactly like this.  But, seriously, these are all the things he plays with.)

Wait a minute, did I just invite a bunch of people to my house?  Yikes!

Cy finally figured out the whole unwrapping presents thing.....the day AFTER Christmas!  Of course.

it's snowing, it's snowing!

Finally, it's snowing!  There's just something about the first snowfall.  We've been waiting for this!  I'm sure I'll get tired of shoveling it pretty fast, but for today- I loved it.  There's just something about the fresh, crisp, cold air that is totally refreshing.  There's just something about cleared off sidewalks and driveways that makes me happy.  Weird?  I blame my father.....a neat freak.....that must be it.  There's just something about the changing seasons........YAY!  It's snowing!

so, the kid LOVES shopping, I guess it must be all the exciting things going on in a store......and the interesting people, but I won't go there......NOT that it's boring at home-no way- ok, maybe a little.  anyhooo, he has been just fine riding in the cart, until last night.  go, cy, go.  you're making mommy proud!

Our Family Friend - Jordy - gave Cy this Halloween straw last Sunday and saying that Cy was a little entertained by this straw is a HUGE understatement!  Thanks, Jordy!  You're the best!

11 Months

so, i thought when the baby got older this whole monthly picture thing would be easier, you know, because he can sit on his own and smile and show personality and yaddi, yadda, yadda........boy, i was wrong.  this was how 11 month pictures went:
