thinkin' about it thursday.

yay!  december!  let's talk christmas!
love/hate fake christmas tree list:
{love} not having to string lights
{hate} no real tree smell
{love} that if your ornament doesn't fit where you want to put it, you just bend the branch (love that)
{hate} the not-so-unique not-rustic look
{love} that will loves it 'cause it's way easier to put up.
{hate} that you can see the little pole in the middle
{love} the soft sap-less branches that my kids play with
{hate} that a candle does NOT make-up for the real tree smell (yes, this is a real issue)
{love} that i don't have to vacuum needles every day
{hate} that my living room doesn't get vacuumed as much as it should.
{love} the train tracks and village around it:

i also love our little nativity scene:
the boys LOVE to play with it, love.  i noticed that all the animals were huddled around the manger today.  this makes my heart smile!
then, i noticed the innkeeper and shepherds were chattin' it up in the village:
so. cute.
so. much. fun.
happy december!

I understand wanting the Christmas Tree smell in your house.. but I hate all the cleaning, spiders, mess that comes with a real tree. So enjoy your fake one... and get other "christmasy' smells to fill your home. Then you won't feel like you are missing out on anything.

And I can't wait until Eithan is playing with his toys and little people like that. Also, I want that Nativity scene so bad! I think I am just going to have to buy it. {After Christmas. When it goes on sale. smile.}

Yay! I am so excited for Christmas this year and can't wait to see your tree! Cam and I are still debating the Christmas tree issue given the current situation. lol Hooray for December babies! (you can tell Will I said that, too)

Not having the Christmas tree smell is the worst part for me too. To fix I recommend picking up a real garland or wreath! Cheaper, smaller, but you still get that fresh a scent!
