not easier.

so, i thought when the baby got older this whole monthly picture thing would be easier, you know, because he can sit on his own and smile and show personality and yaddi, yadda, yadda........boy, i was wrong.  this was how 11 month pictures went:

so, we are officially into the "fit throwing" stage.   how long does that last?!?!?!?!?!

does mommy get kisses? no.

does daddy get kisses?  no.

does the fish on the bag of goldfish crackers get kisses?  yes.

the baby with pink lips in the baby color book also gets kisses.

what's up with that?

saying no.

Someone just tell me, PLEASE, how to say "no".  I just cannot do it.  ANY suggestions are welcome.

So, what brings this up?  This morning, Saturday morning, at 7:00 a.m. we (remember I am not a morning person) got up with the baby.  We were all in the kitchen -well, Will had already fed the baby and I was just coming into the kitchen when Will was getting the eggs out of the fridge.  So, here we all are: Anika coming in, Will getting eggs,  Baby Boy racing to the open fridge.  It's wierd, I know, the kid has a thousand toys and would rather play with the tupperware(do they call it that anymore?), or be right at my feet while I am trying to cook, or be in the fridge.  Which brings me back to where I was........so, Will moves the baby out of the fridge, with eggs in hand, and lo and behold baby starts crying.  Will proceeds to say, "I'm not mommy, you won't get to do that just because you're crying."

Ahem? Ex-squeeze me? Baking powder?

And then I remember, it's true.  

How in the world could YOU say no to that face? 

Yep, still growing.....

What can I say?  I love him!  Just in case you were wondering (Tilleea) we take picts every month of him with his blessing blanket (a beautiful handmade one by grandma great) his first stuffed animal (monkey-when he was still in mommy's tummy) and a 2nd stuffed animal (elephant that was given to him when he was like 5 minutes old.)  My thought was to take pictures with things that would show how much he's grown.  It's fun to see them side by side.......absolutely amazing how fast this is going.  All right before my eyes!!  

Oh great!!  More signs to hold.  Yeah, not getting sick of this at ALL!

Wow, really this old?  I'm surprised - I don't feel oldness one bit.

(sniff, sniff)

The last day of baseball.  We are so sad to see it go.  Even though our Super Great Seattle Mariners were not exactly super great this year, we still watched them play almost every day.  (I do have to admit that a couple times this year I went to check the schedule for game time in late afternoon and saw that the game was on earlier and we missed it, there was a part of me that was secretly glad that we did not have to watch them lose that day. again.)   Yes, that's right we did not have a winning season, but we are fans, so we watched-and we loved it.  There's something comforting for us about doing the same thing everyday, and one of those things was turning on the game at night.  The good thing is that we were able to post a big ole "W" on the last day of the schedule, so we will at least have something positive to look at until spring.  We just have to hold our hopes that first and foremost Ichi stays with us, as well as Kenj and Raul and Adrian and Felix and even Jose. (I know, I can't believe I said it either.)  I also know that changes have to happen, but, I love my team and my guys (love ya, Ka-Boonie) (boo A-rod).  So, I hope someone asks me before anything drastic happens.  Have a Great Off-Season, Everyone..........(I'll have to make up other reasons to call you, Mel).............I'll also be having lots of free time now, what am I going to do?!?!?!?

F is for Fall, Football, Field, and Fun

Cy LOVED going to the football game.  Maybe he loved it because he could scream like a girl and nobody noticed.  Actually it was quite appropriate, even encouraged - you see, it's called cheering when you're at a football game.  Nice. (I know what you're thinking, and yes, Cy often screams like a girl.  I don't know why.)

Cousin Maddax was super cute.  Although not so much into Cy's screaming, or Gramma Wendie's, or Mel's, or the whole crowd.  You don't need to cheer when you're this cute, anyway!

Yes, he's been crawling and exploring everything.  And he will NOT stay in the place I put him anymore.  Why was I so excited about this?  Just kidding, it's been so fun to see him being so curious.  He's still a little wobbly at times......it makes for a cute pict!

Happy 7 Months!

OK, so, we were taking 7 mo. picts recently, and it was the 1st time the grass was bothering Cy!

He would not put his legs down.

He wanted to avoid grass so much that he fell over!

Yeah, Will and I were laughing pretty hard.

So, we finally decided to get a blankie for him to sit on to make him more comfortable, and then he had to fight off the stuffed animals for the center of attention.......sheesh, mom and dad, give a kid a break!

My sis-in-law had a fun idea to take a picture of our fridges.  Here you go:  I've got my baby boy.....aka super-cute, a birthday picture from my mom (handmade with love), the Mariners schedule, skiier chick magnet that stays up year-round, "choose ye this day whom ye will serve" magnet from Ohio (thanks Grandma) and Napolean Dynamite shopping list (Liger.....it's pretty much my favorite animal).
